How Can You Help Manage High Blood Pressure?

Naturally, your diet has a profound influence on your health. There are foods you can be sure to include in your diet that may help keep your blood pressure in check. Two of these foods are cucumbers and garlic.

Cucumber is a very hydrating, nutrient-filled fruit that can help with high blood pressure. It can do this primarily because of its potassium and fiber content. Potassium can help balance the sodium count in your blood, helping prevent atherosclerosis (build-up of plaque in blood vessels). Fiber can help regulate blood pressure and reduce cholesterol. Garlic has shown strong evidence of its ability to help manage high blood pressure, cholesterol levels, and a number of other health conditions. This medicinal ability is mainly attributed to the compound allicin that’s found in garlic. (6, 7)
